Here we wrap up the year of 2022 and are now in the 2023 real estate market. Looking at the data you can see that 2020 had brought a whole new type of market to Rochester, NY. The year of 2022 continued the trend with low supply, quick transactions and high sales prices.
This year, 2023 may change the trend. Obviously we see higher interest rates than the past few years that have an impact on buyers. Regardless of interest rates, people need to buy and sell homes. The real estate season will be starting here in a few months, spring time. I am personally waiting to see the peak data of summer to get a better idea of what the future holds.
